Here are some of our photos from Århus, Demark's 2nd largest city.

peace lillies

We spent our first evening in Århus at a renovated 19th century
dance hall located in the Risskov Forest. We followed trails
through the peace lilly blanketed aspen woods to a beach on the sea.

Den Gamle ByDen Gamle By

Den Gamle By is an open-air museum
with buildings from several centuries all over Denmark.
It is interesting to see the old traditional buildings
with the contrasting modern buildings towering in the skyline.

Emily in the daffodils

Emily is taking a rest at one of the many patches of daffodils that grow all over.

Graubelle Man
, on display at the Moesgård Museum,
is the most perfectly preserved bog person ever discovered.
It was a bit creepy but interesting.

Maisgård ForestSeaside view

After visiting the bog man we took a 3 or 4 km hike
through the Moesgård Forest on an ancient trail.
We went past burial grounds and swamplands on our way to the sea.
The floor of the forest was solid with little white flowers.
